The main volume of the vacation house includes a semi covered terrace enclosed by a thick curved wall with wide openings, framing views towards the sea and the olive grove. Courtyards carved in its volume provide light and natural air flow, while a sloped garden connects the interior with the landscape above. The small pavilion hosting the master bedroom protrudes the soil of the building’s roof terrain. Placed on a terrace planted with Mediterranean species it privately enjoys unobstructed views.

The surrounding outdoor areas are formed by two thin slabs inserted in the slope and landscaped by gabion retaining walls. The first slab, a planted canopy, hides the parking area while the second -on which the main volume sits upon- hosts the pool and an open air lounge.

A retaining wall on the south makes space for a linear path that cuts through the different slabs slowly ascending and accessing outdoor and indoor levels.

By facing north-east the inner glass façade is protected while outdoor areas are shaded. The south façade is almost blind while all other façade openings feature wooden louvers as exterior shading which, together with the planted roof terrace and an array of solar panels on the roof of the pavilion, reduce energy needs.
